Terms of Service

What you're agreeing to when you use Kleyra. Written to be read, not to be survived.

1. Who these terms are with

Kleyra is operated by Affekt Pty Ltd, 1A Arundel Road, Cape Town, Western Cape 7700, South Africa. By creating an account or using Kleyra, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

2. What Kleyra does

Kleyra asks AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity) a set of questions about your market, records how they answer, and reports whether and how your business was mentioned. It then gives you a ranked list of changes to make, and lets you re-run the same questions to see whether the number moved.

Optionally, you can connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics so that Kleyra can display your search traffic alongside those results. This is read-only and entirely optional.

3. Early access

Kleyra is in early access. That means:

  • It is free, subject to flat monthly usage limits on scans, audits and generated content.
  • Features may change, break, or be removed. We are still building it.
  • We will tell you clearly, by email and in advance, before anything starts costing money. We will never charge a card without your explicit agreement first.

4. Your account

  • Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be 18 or older and using Kleyra for business purposes.
  • Give us accurate information — particularly your business details, since the quality of your results depends on them.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use Kleyra to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
  • impersonate another business, or measure or manipulate a business you have no legitimate connection to;
  • attack, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent limits on the service;
  • resell or redistribute Kleyra’s output as your own measurement product without our written agreement.

6. Your data and content

You keep ownership of everything you put into Kleyra and everything we generate for you. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you — to store your data, send your questions to AI assistants, and display the results back to you.

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. What we can’t promise

This part matters, so it’s in plain words:

  • AI assistants are not stable measurement instruments. They change without notice, they vary between runs, and they can be wrong. We report what they actually said, with confidence intervals where we can, and we annotate model changes when we detect them — but we cannot guarantee that a result is repeatable.
  • We cannot guarantee visibility outcomes. Following our recommendations may improve how often you are mentioned. It may not. No one can promise otherwise, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does.
  • Third-party data may be incomplete. Data from Google and other providers is theirs, and subject to their availability and accuracy.
  • The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Affekt Pty Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Kleyra. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ZAR 1,000.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Kleyra and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law — and other than in serious cases, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. On termination we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kleyra after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.
